Gotta catch up! Three top tens in one post!

I did these weeks ago, but never posted them here. So here you go. First:

My Top Ten Favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger Films:

10. Batman & Robin

First off, this movie sucks, and as a person aspiring to become a film maker I should punch myself to unconsciousness for including it on this list, but I would include this film into the *So Bad its Good* category. Arnold is at his worst/best with the puns in this stinker.

9. Conan the Barbarian

Of course I had to include the film that generally kicked Arnold into the Mainstream. Not a good film in the lest, but a definite shot of 80's nostalgia, if anyone's that old here.

8. Kindergarten Cop

Again, not the best film, but a lot a famous one liners came from this film. Aside from B&R, this is probably my guiltiest pleasure when it comes to Arnold films.

7. The Running Man

A classic cheesy Arnold flip, but a well made one. It's political statement is heard loud and clear. The action scenes, while, impressive, are lacking but the film gets bonus points for having Richard Dawson acting like a prick.

6. Commando

The Black guy (Bill Duke) almost rivals Arnold in the One Liner department here. Not a real good film, but I love it.

5. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

Not even close to as good as the first two Terminator films, and really shouldn't have been made, but it actually was a surprisingly good work.

4. Total Recall

Fuck yeah. Its bloody, its drowned in one liners, and its a perfect starting point for people wanting to get into Arnold's films. The action scenes are done great in this one, as opposed to Running Man.

3. Predator

One of the many great Action/Horror films of the 80's. Good scenery, good one liners, and great effects for the time. Also Bill Duke returns. No clever one liners for him this time, but he still comes close to stealing the show on multiple occasions.

2. Terminator
1. Terminator 2: Judgement Day

Fuck you if you question why the two terminator film's are 2 & 1. Was there really any doubt? The original gave birth to the most used one liner of all time, while being a fantastically made Stalker film, while the second proved to be the best action flick of all time, and one of the best Sequels (One of the very few Sequels to outclass the original). You don't need to watch the first to watch the second (If you're only watching one, watch T2), but the first is still a amazing film.

Second:

My ten Favorite Animated Film's

10. Heavy Metal

Some call it mindless fun, others call it trash, I call it a classic piece of visceral work. heavy music powers this engine of awesome throughout its multi-story set up.

9. Howl's Moving Castle

I could generally put any Hayao Miyazaki on this list, but I'll settle with two, this one being the first. Its innocence and artistry makes it a family piece, but it could be appreciated by just about anyone.

8. Dumbo

Any movie that includes an elephant with oversized ears getting drunk and tripping out deserves to be on a list.

7. WALL - E

The first half of the film is the best. Without much dialogue, the film still shows emotion many others could only hope to have.

6. Simpson's: the Movie

Best thing to come out of The Simpson's in years, and probably the last great thing the Simpson's have to offer.

5. Transformers: The Movie

Not the newer movies, but the old 80's film. It had an epic battle between Megatron and Optimus, multiple main character deaths, and Orson fucking Welles as the voice of Unicron.

4. Klay World: Off The Table

I love the Knox Claymations. They are so simple, yet hilarious. When the creator of Klay World decided to make a movie out of his primary series, I figured it wouldn't be too good. I figured that the Claymations were more effective as a five minute episode, but I was wrong. It kept its charm, and remained a funny piece of work. If you haven't seen either the series or the movie, see them now.

3. Toy Story

Started a revolution of great, but quite frankly slightly overrated 3D CGI film. Pixar is a fantastic company that seldom makes bad animation, but I believe people sometimes overpraise Pixar. Non the less, Toy Story deserves all the praise it receives, and is always good for a good nostalgia blast.

2. Fantasia

Two things I love: Music and Film. Fantasia combines these two efforts flawlessly, making for the best animated film to ever come out of Disney. Filled to the brim with iconic scenes, and moving music, Fantasia stands tall in a mountain of great animation.

1. Spirited Away

The second Hayao Miyazaki. Simply put; Perfection in its purist animated form. That's all I have to say.

Mt Ten Favorite Cartoons:

10: Transformers

had to have something from the 80's. Me, I never was a fan of J.I. Joe or Thunder Cats. No, what interested me most was vehicles that turned into machines of destruction. Great plot for its time, and great humor too. Also, it had the best opening theme of all time.

9: The Simpson's

Had to be somewhere on the list. Loses big points for dragging on longer then it should. Used to be gold, but now its a bit old. The Simpson's may need to retire, unless they make another great movie.

8: Beavis & Butthead

God I miss these guys. they rocked like no other, and did things almost as controversial as the South Park residents, of course they aren't as high as they could be because I feel there was a bit more potential.

7: X-Men (Original)

One of the many 90's cartoon's that had everything a kid could want. It was serious, it was well written, and it was action packed. It snuck a few moments of comedy in, but for the most part was serious serious serious. Oh and the X Men lost a good chunk of their fights too, which isn't seen very often in these type of cartoons.

6: Trigun (Sub/Dub)

Trigun is one of few anime's that I love. Another being later in this list. What Trigun did right that most all other anime's did wrong was make a compelling story, and a bunch of interesting characters.

5: Loony Toons

Dude, its classic. If you didn't expect this or my next one to be somewhere on this list then you're loony. Still funny to this day.

4: South Park

Perhaps the most controversial cartoon of all time. There really isn't much I can say about it that will probably be said by other posters, so I'll let them say it.

3: One Piece (Sub)

I'm not going to lie, I hate Anime. I hate how weird and confusing it is, and how generic and predictable the story lines tend to be. The Hero ALWAYS comes out on top, so why the fuck do I love One Piece so damn much (Well, the Sub of it)?! Well, its whole devil fruit aspect, stupid as it may seem at first, makes the series one of, if not the most unique anime on television. 4Kids screw up aside, One Piece helped bring a breath of fresh air to a overabundant and stale art.

Yeah, its still a very weird and confusing experience, and one that sometimes leaves me uncomfortable, but it is anything but predictable. The main hero does, on occasion, lose. Hell, recently hes been losing nearly every one of his battles. Its biggest flaw is, it isn't half as good as the manga. Trigun, to me, surpassed its manga, but One Piece didn't. Its also got its humor moments, but not always.

2: Beast Wars

Shitty look (Well, I suppose it was phenomenal for its time), hysterical one liners, awkward frame rate, nostalgia. Despite its flaws, Beast Wars, a sequel to Transformers, was one of the greatest animated programs to come out of the 90's, and bar non the most underrated. What it lacked in look (Well, it blew us kids away back then), it more then made up in its dialogue. Add to the fact that it, at the same time, took its audience seriously, something few other cartoons of any kind do. the creators knew we weren't mindless, and had plot that could hold up against any form of televised media. It was dark, clever, and ever changing.

In a way, Beast Wars felt like the forefather of Red vs Blue. Completely different characters and situations, but put the two together and you'll definitely see similarity's. Beast Wars kid friendly humor was as golden as RvBs Adult humor.

Of course, without a stellar cast of creative robots, Beast Wars would falter. Thankfully, there was little wrong with the characters. We had the occasional fuck up (I always hated that fucking cheetah and that damn scorpion (The second one with the southern accent (Which oddly enough may have been an inspiration for my favorite RvB character Sarge. Go figure))), but good lord did it more then make up for it. Rattrap, Dinobot, Tarantulas, Waspinator, ect.

If you haven't seen beast Wars, for the love of GOD do so. You can probably find all the episodes on Youtube. Just avoid its sequel (Beast Machines) at all costs, if possible.

1: Animaniacs
I grew up in the 90's, so the choice was rather obvious. I won't go into a long winded review as to why its the best, I'll keep it to a paragraph. It had the best music of any cartoon, the best humor (A lot of innuendo's too), and it made education awesome. This is the Loony Toons of the 90's. It always has been, and always will be, my all time favorite. If you haven't heard of this one, then you've been living under a rock (Or your just too damn young :P).
